Puttin’ on the Glitz
For one day a year, everyone at The Geoghegan Group gets the chance to let their hair down at the annual staff party where we reward our hard-working staff and recognise their extraordinary service and dedication.

A very happy anniversary to us!
It seems like only yesterday we welcomed our first customers to The Clavadel, but Thursday, May 2, 2019 marked exactly five years since we first opened our doors to the public.
On our launch day in 2014, three lucky customers had the run of our newly constructed, purpose-built treatment centre with its state-of-the-art equipment, along with the undivided attentions of the 25 staff on duty that day (despite having to negotiate past the still incomplete reception area!).

Christmas at The Clavadel
Recuperation comes in many forms and last week we were delighted to welcome all of our guests at The Clavadel for a jolly good Christmas lunch hosted by Charles Geoghegan and his team of merry helpers.

Injured cow checks in at The Clavadel
CowParade ─ the world’s largest and most successful public art event – has helped to put the fun back into fundraising. Now the startling sight of colourfully decorated cows is a welcome and familiar sight, wherever you go.

Royal seal of approval for artist
Good art creates more than just mere decoration; when carefully chosen and sympathetically hung, it contributes to the overall well-being of the environment in which it’s placed. That’s why the work of Ewhurst resident and Geoghegan family friend Alexander Cresswell was the natural choice to grace the walls of The Clavadel and our sister facility The Old Rectory in Ewhurst.

A sign of the times
Take a walk down Guildford’s Epsom Road, and as you approach The Clavadel two things will spring immediately into view: a playful cow sculpture ‘chewing the cud’, and a distinctive, hand-forged pub-style sign bearing the Geoghegan Group logo, created by artisan blacksmith and Guildford resident Rebecca Knott.

Keeping ahead of the game
Before the building had even featured on an architect’s blueprint and The Clavadel was still just a vision for the future, a commitment to provide the public with the best in post-operative rehabilitation was always non-negotiable for Managing Director Charles Geoghegan.
